Hello Jim, 1) In French, pinhole camera = appareil à sténopé but very often people just call the pinhole camera "sténopé", making a shortcut between the pinhole itself (sténopé has its origins in a Greek word "opé" meaning -hole- and close to "ôps" meaning -eye-) and the apparatus using it (the camera). pinhole photography : photographie au sténopé.
2) What do you mean by "natural camera" ? If it means a " normal" camera with lens, then : camera = appareil de photo (shortcut : "appareil" when everybody knows that you are speaking about photography!) 3) If you are looking for various translations in all kinds of languages, just go back and have a look at the WPPD site www.pinholeday.org When preparing the event for inside the International coordination Team, I had the luck to coordinate the work of a nice group of translators all around the world and we managed, thanks to Gregg' efforts, to offer a 12 languages version of the site. There, your students will find plenty of nice words ! Hope it helps, Amitiés d'un "sténopiste" français Jean ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kosinski Family" <zin...@telenet.net> To: <pinhole-discussion@p at ???????> Sent: Tuesday, September 25, 2001 9:40 PM Subject: [pinhole-discussion] "pinhole camera" in any lang
