Response to Mr. Lonnie Paulson:
i've seen several examples of pinhole films, most of which used homemade
cameras rather than body caps. a simple way to do this is with super8 as it
comes in it's own convienient light-tight case, leaving an opening for the
exposed film (which is easily covered by a pinhole). there is also a mechanism
for cranking the film already built into the cassette, and just about as fast
as you can crank it - it will expose. no expensive equipment necessary. the
results are odd and fascinating. the image doesn't necessarily align with the
sprockets, etc. i've seen one where the film was exposed as one long strip as a
sort of panoramic and then projected. some of the films we have already (in the
program) are photograms, not pinhole at all (but still lensless). these are
pretty amazing too, and i'm looking out for others... any ideas? i imagine a
body cap would work equally well, and most 16mm cameras let you shoot single
frame. so you could determine your own fps...
