I played around with modifying the limits in vm_core.h but this doesn't seem to be the problem. If I run x=once(128) first, I get the stack overflow and it happens every time.  If I run x=once(7) first, the overflow doesn't happen even with values much larger than 128. It's like something isn't
initialized properly.
