Guys,

Pasensya na siguro kung "very elementary" sa inyo ito. I just don't know
that much on Korn Shell Scripting eh. Please help me on this.

I'm investigating right now of more than 300,000 records from the different
BIR-RDC sites and comparing our Data Traffic Error Logs. Practically, it is
not advisable to investigate those records MANUALLY from the different
sites. My question goes like this:

How could I compare integers (date) one-by-one from the format of
2000081015533160460708 to 08/10/2000 where the first 4 integers stands for
the year (2000), the next 2 integers stands for the month (08 == August),
and the next 2 integers stands for the day (10) so that we conclude that
2000081015533160460708 == 08/10/2000? Please ignore the integers after the
day (15533160460708).

Actually, I still have so many questions in mind regarding Korn Shell
Scripting kaso 'wag lang muna kasi i found out that the above question is
more tricky than the others.

Thank you in advance. Your help will be very much appreciated.
