Aha! Glad you asked. Yes there are several emulators for the Apple ][
under Linux.
But they usually need Apple ][ ROM images to work.
The first time I tried an Apple ][ emulator, I was still working under
the WinLose platform.
Anyway, here's my favorite link which includes links to archives with
ROMs.
