Please note that I've never used _ANY_ exception in my entire professional life.
However C is a dying language, and most modern languages like C++ and Java and ... handle error's on exception paths rather than returning error's. I'd like to see some reasonable exception handling so that POPT bindings become "drop-in" for C++/Java/... or anything else that SWIG wraps. I've looked multiple times at what needs doing for reasonable POPT bindings and always resorted to a barf bag instead. Anyone want to design an exception handling framework for POPT? 73 de Jeff ______________________________________________________________________ POPT Library http://rpm5.org Developer Communication List popt-devel@rpm5.org
