It should return exactly the email addresses that you intend the list to
expand to.

Postfix performs virtual alias expansion recursively. In your original
message, you posted the intended content of each list, but that's not
what the lists actually expand to, because either your data tables, or
your query or both don't match your intent. This is not a Postfix
problem, this is a table configuration problem.
