Sekarang untuk mengatur kerukunan hidup manusia ada itu deklarasi PBB tentang HAM dimana dinyatan dalam salah satu paragrafnya : orang tidak boleh dibedakan berbasiskan agama, kelamin, warna kulit, keturuan etc. Deklarasi tsb telah menjadi dasar hukum nasional dan internasional demi menjamin kehidupan bersama.
