Ed, Rackspace's Cloud Sites looks like a great service with all the latest and greatest applications.
The very odd exception is Python whose support is at 2.4 - a release that's almost 5 years old. I know you work in an entirely different part of Rackspace, but if you ever have a chance to meet with people on the Cloud Sites team, please encourage them to upgrade their support for Python. I know there's always Cloud Servers as an alternative, but we're looking for a managed hosting service (os, database, and developer tool patches) with the scalability of Cloud Sites. Thanks!
