Apologies for cross-posting ======================================================================================= FIRST CALL FOR PAPERS - SIMBig 2016 ======================================================================================= SIMBig 2016 - 3th Annual International Symposium on Information Management and Big Data 29-31 August 2016 - Cusco, PERU http://simbig.org/SIMBig2016/ ======================================================================================= OVERVIEW -------- We live in an era of data deluge. To deal with this huge quantity of data, we require new technologies and architectures in terms of data acquisition, data integration, data storage, data management and data analysis in order to extract value from it. SIMBig 2016 aims to bring together academia, industry, research scholars, business entrepreneurs, practitioners, managers, and policy makers responsible in information management and analysis of huge quantity of data. This symposium will be held on 29-31 August 2016 in Cusco, Peru as the previous editions. This third edition of SIMBig will be heightened by welcoming as keynote speakers to: - Sophia Ananiadou, NaCTeM lab. and the University of Manchester, UK - Albert Bifet, Télécom ParisTech, France and the Waikato University, New Zeland - Fabio Crestani, University of Lugano, Switzerland - Maguelonne Teisseire, Cirad and TETIS Laboratory, France PUBLICATION --------------- Best papers of SIMBig 2016 will be published by Springer-Verlag in the LNCS series (LNCS is indexed in ISTP, EI and others). SIMBig 2016 proceedings will be indexed and distributed by DBLP and CEUR-WS. Authors are invited to submit their work in the form of a Regular/Short Paper or Demonstrations, representing completed and validated research, portraying a report of work in progress or results of scientific breakthroughs focused on one of the conference topic areas.
