Hello,

In the pwc driver it is defined the flag XAWTV_HAS_BEEN_FIXED.
If not set (or set to zero) a bunch of useful controls for pwc cameras
are not compiled, thus making them unavailable to other programs.

Two things:
a) the pwc driver should be compliant with the Video4Linux2 API specs
(v4l1, eventually), not with a specific program

b) xawtv, although a very good video/tv program, it not the only piece of code in the world.

So I suggest to remove the flag and let the controls be automatically available to other video capturing programs/tools.

Eventually, if xawtv has problems with pwc cameras, xawtv developers can make the program compliant with V4L2.

best regards,

Gabriel Huecas
