Greetings, I've had a 690 PWC for about 5 years. Recently it stopped working, and I'm not sure if its because it died, or if there's some software based reason.
I'm running Fedora 7 (x86), if that matter with pwc version 10.0.13. The basic problem is that all I get are time-outs when attempting to do anything with the camera. Basically, what I'm seeing in dmesg is: usb 1-10: new full speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 8 usb 1-10: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice pwc: Philips PCVC690K (Vesta Pro Scan) USB webcam detected. pwc: Registered as /dev/video0. pwc: Failed to set video mode [EMAIL PROTECTED] fps; return code = -110 The LED does come on when its plugged in, so I think its getting power just fine. Anyone know if there's any foolproof way to determine whether the camera is dead? thanks -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ L.
