Hi:
I'm just getting started with PyCUDA. I installed it with pip (on a Win-10 + Anaconda machine using "pip install") and then tried to run the tutorial example here: https://documen.tician.de/pycuda/tutorial.html. When I do, I get the following error messages: Traceback (most recent call last): File "<stdin>", line 7, in <module> File "C:\ProgramData\Anaconda3\lib\site-packages\pycuda\compiler.py", line 291, in __init__ arch, code, cache_dir, include_dirs) File "C:\ProgramData\Anaconda3\lib\site-packages\pycuda\compiler.py", line 254, in compile return compile_plain(source, options, keep, nvcc, cache_dir, target) File "C:\ProgramData\Anaconda3\lib\site-packages\pycuda\compiler.py", line 137, in compile_plain stderr=stderr.decode("utf-8", "replace")) pycuda.driver.CompileError: nvcc compilation of C:\Users\Ajit\AppData\Local\Temp\tmp4z9j5802\kernel.cu failed [command: nvcc --cubin -arch sm_61 -m64 -Ic:\programdata\anaconda3\lib\site-packages\pycuda\cuda kernel.cu] [stdout: nvcc fatal : Cannot find compiler 'cl.exe' in PATH I have Visual Studio Community 2017 installed, but there is no directory for it under "Program Files(x86)" - I only see 2014. And in that directory, I can't find cl.exe. So my question is: where is cl.exe? Thank you for your help. Ajit
