Hi,
I am new to Python. I have successfully installed Eclipse / Python / Pylons
and Pydev.
I "think" I have successfully made paster run inside eclipse. I can surf my
website from the browser.
But when I place debug points in my code, the execution does not stop in the
right place in the controller, even though I am running it in debug mode with
the breakpoint set.
Please note that we are using Virtual Environment to run our Pylons Code. Here
are the list of steps I have followed in setting up the project inside Eclipse
/ PyDev:
1) Create MyProj project using Pydev Project under ~/venv/MyProj
2) Choose 2.5 as project type
3) Right click MyProj and choose properties
4) Under PyDev PYTHONPATH add source folder "/MyProj/src/MyProj"
5) cd ~/venv/MyProj/bin
6) ln -s paster paster.py
7) Create a new launch configuration (Python Run)
Under Main tab
> Use paster-script.py as main module
Arguments
> Set the base directory to the root folder also.
> As Program Arguments use "serve --reload ${project_loc}/src/dev.ini"
Common Tab
> Check allocate console and launch in background
