With Python 2.5 this gives: pycompletionserver will start pycompletionserver creating socket pycompletionserver waiting for connection The program doesn't return to the prompt and I can see a Python process running in the Taskmanager. With Python 2.5.1 I get: pycompletionserver will start and then I'm back on the prompt. The Taskmanager shows a Python process for a moment which then disappears immediately. No exceptions are printed to the console.
