I thought it might be something fundamental like that as the def files in the guile-gtk package have a function called set_compare_func_full that is commented out. The Perl and Pike bindings seem to be missing it as well. Perhaps the Gtk folks can be persuaded to modify the function or add another one to make it easier to wrap.
