The stuff in the pygnome directory is old. Ignore it (I didn't cvs rm it originally because I was using it as a template for the new
bindings.

gnome-python/pygtk directory and then in the gnome-python/ direcotry?

there are three packages you want to build:
gnome-python/pygtk
gnome-python/pyorbit
gnome-python/gnome-python

(in that order). If you want to build from CVS, you might want to look at a build script. The one I use is jhbuild (also in GNOME CVS).
