In January this year I've asked for support while trying to add a second hand harddisk to one of my CST Thor computers. Not much feedback received then (BTW: Thanks Bob).
Now I have good news. I've received a second harddisk some weeks later and thanks to the long eastern weekend I found the time to tinker again. Solution was easy: 1. Get a drive which is working and not damaged/dead. ;-) 2. Set SCSI ID to 0 (No jumpers inserted). 3. You hear the drive making some noise at system startup. 4. FORMAT it. 5. Up you go. See last two pictures in this set: http://tinyurl.com/62ma9dc BTW: There's no information concerning the drive on the Thor startup-screen. @Bob: Did you ever see such a message on any Thor computer? Cheers, Urs _______________________________________________ QL-Users Mailing List http://www.q-v-d.demon.co.uk/smsqe.htm
