Tarquin - our local DIY superstores (B&Q and Focus) have black mains 4 ways, but with just one switch (i.e. switch everything off or on at the same time). Price was about £10 IIRC. The only 4-ways with 4 (individual) switches on them are white, sadly, also costing about £10 or £12. I wanted to do the same thing as you some time ago, failed at the time, and ended up putting a 4-switch white unit under the desk out of sight!
