One way around this if using QPAC2 is to create a directory called say TRASH and instead of deleting files, use the MOVE command to shift them into the TRASH directory instead. When you run short of space, or from time to time (say, when files are a few days old and you are sure you don't want any of them, delete them from the trashcan, after a while you'll get used to the routine of using MOVE instead of DELETE and using DELETE only on the trashcan.
