An alternative approach, when QPower upgrades are no longer available, is to replace the 1A 7805 with a 1.5A 7805 voltage regulator. The 1A version when worked hard tends to be bumping up against its thermal protection and shutting down. The 1.5A version works better under heavier loads. Dave
