Hmmm... well, I think that's actually a bit of a departure from my motivation, but I see where you're coming from. I gather that you would like to completely replace the psender functionality (or create another option that is mutually exclusive to psender) with the ability to return a 550 and a customer error message. Similarly, I want another option that is mutually exclusive to psender, but that ADDS to psender's existing functionality. I want to return a 550 for actual detected (via ClamAV or whatever, including perlscan_scanner) viruses, but still generate a traditional perlscan_scanner bounce message if the message is blocked by perlscan_scanner. I'm only interested in preventing collateral damage from false positives. I really like the verbose notifications generated by perlscan_scanner, and I'd like to continue using them. I just want my users to know IMMEDIATELY when their email has been rejected. -- Jesse Guardiani, Systems Administrator WingNET Internet Services, P.O.
