Howdy!

Sorry, that is not true!

qooxdoo was registered as an open source project under LGPL on sourceforge on 2005-01-09. On 2005-02-02 we already had the mailingslist working and CVS filled up with the first publicly available code.

That was even before the term "AJAX" was created! Wow! ;-)

Qooxdoo is severely under documented, it doesn't take a core developer
to write API documentation. Anyone with a little training and some
urge could do that. The same thing with the examples in the demo
directory.

Hey, you know of any open-source (or even commercial) project that is over-documented? Among all the well-known AJAX or GUI frameworks, there are some big players that are still under-documented and not even have a convincing example section. e.g. Dojo.

If so many (potential) developers out ther use qooxdoo on a daily basis and even base their commercial products on it (Kent, Olli, many others), I think it is fair and in accordance to the LGPL to give back to an open-source project in form of documentation, code, etc. Everyone seriously interested to contribute is very welcome!

Cheers,

Andreas
