Well, i prefer to use a lot of widths & height that are relative to
the parent. Say, {top: 10, bottom: 10, left: 10, right: 10}. These
things are much faster. Bindows redraws everything. Its fast on a
per-widget bases, but when you put too many widgets in there it gets
slow.
Ah OK, this is one of the areas qooxdoo should really be fast.
Another small PNG question: Does it actually work on IE6? I'm running
Linux here, and it doesn't seem to work in Wine+IE6 but then again,
its not the most trust-worthy setup...
Yes, PNG should work. qooxdoo uses the AlphaImageLoader for png images.
