There are various selection models, e.g. single-selection, multi-selection,
multi-interval, etc. Therefore there's not a single method in Table itself
to obtain the selection. Instead, selection is handled by the Selection
Model class qx.ui.table.selection.Model. In there, you'll find methods like
getSelectedRanges() which returns to you the selection.
You can obtain the selection model object with table.getSelectionModel().
