Hi,
the garbage collector is unpredictable. I.e. the behaviour of the gc depends on
the JS engine implementation and on the current working load.
Sometimes it takes minutes until the gc cleans up unreferenced memory. You
should test it with different browsers. Maybe there are even devolopement tools
that give information about the gc activity.
Furthermore just calling dispose() will not release the memory, it will just
release the reference held by the qooxdoo object registry. So additionally you
will have to set the reference to null like this...

__obj. dispose();
__obj = null;
--------------------------
...or simply use...
--------------------------
this._disposeObjects("__obj");
--------------------------
Finally I aggree with Tino: reuse your instances. That will take care for a
better performance.

I think it should decrease the memory when we close any window. But its not
doing the same. That is why i thought to dispose when close. Otherwise if we
open close same window with different data increasing memory rapidly.
