I hope that this is what I need to develop my web application. Like a medieval knight looking for the Holy Grail I have tried: JS2EE, JavaFx, GWT, Ext, ExtJs, JQuery, Primefaces, Phonegap, SenchaTouch, Flex, Dojo, SmartGWT For one reason or the other all of them are not "perfect" for me. Too complicated, too buggy, too expensive, too undocumented, too slow, too ...
Before another deep diving into the docs and examples I'd like to ask some question to the forum: Is this a good framework to develop a web application that is: - fast to load - secure - fast to run - desktop like - compatible thru major browsers (from IE6 to Opera 11) - MVC based - easily convertible to phone (android first) - more than 100 forms (one fat client or on-demand module loading?) - Google Apis capable (Maps, Latitude, Calendar, Picasa) - Html5 compliant Old romans said: "dulcis in fundo" - realtime capable (i.e.: one client update form data, all the others clients connectd are updated) The best framework I've investigated was SmartGWT but the version with this all feature is simple too expensive for me. I'm a student and this project is for my thesis. Sorry for my english ...
