Hi Steve,

Then 'R' starts. > ?layout n help("layout", htmlhelp = FALSE) : unused argument(s) (htmlhelp = FALSE) (can't start it) > help.start() starts "Startistical Data Analysis" browser > getwd() [1] "/home/satimis" > [Ctrl]-h m start help menu. I'll find time to practise Emacs. Thanks B.R. No, not ctrl-x r. The previous poster told you to do "Alt-x R" (where Alt might be "option" on your keyboard). In emacs-speak, this modifier key (alt/opt) is written as "M" ... so M-x is "option-x" No offense, but it seems like your a complete noob w/ emacs, too (we all were at some point). It might be helpful for you to read through a few emacs tutorials to get the basics down before you keep banging your head against this wall. -steve -- Steve Lianoglou Graduate Student: Computational Systems Biology | Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center | Weill Medical College of Cornell University Contact Info: http://cbio.mskcc.org/~lianos/contact ______________________________________________ R-help@r-project.org mailing list https://stat.ethz.ch/mailman/listinfo/r-help PLEASE do read the posting guide http://www.R-project.org/posting-guide.html and provide commented, minimal, self-contained, reproducible code.
