The Computational Geo-Ecology (CGE) research group of the University of 
Amsterdam is looking for two
enthusiastic Scientific Programmers who will develop virtual laboratories that 
support data analyses
and modelling. This concerns data exploration through interactive 
visualization, statistical
analyses that demand much computer time, and complex dynamic simulation models. 
In cooperation with
other members of the team, they will develop and implement workflows, develop 
new analysis
methodologies and simulation models, and introduce new eScience developments 
and tools.

Salary: The salary will depend on experience, and will range from €2330 to a 
maximum of €3678 gross
per month (salary scale 9 or 10) based on a full-time appointment. For 
candidates with a doctorate,
there is a development opportunity to Ontwikkelaar ICT 2 (salary scale 11, 
maximum €4284 gross per
month). The collective labour agreement of Dutch universities is applicable.
