That shouldn't be too hard to fix. This happens, apparenly, only if type="phylogram" -- which is the default. This seems to work correctly if type="c" (and if there are branch lengths).

I'll update you when it's fixed.

I tracked it down to the function phylogramm.plot which expects nodes
having at least two children.

Is there an easy solution for this, except using collapse.single?
