I am having a strange problem with a serial control. I am communicating
serially with a device, and it is working just fine under the debug build of my
application (i.e. when I press "Run" in the IDE). However, when I actually
build the application and run the executible, the serial communciations are not
working. Is anyone familiar with this issue? I observe the same problem on
Windows XP, Vista, and OS X.

Thanks for any insight!

Location: Canada, Alberta, Near Red Deer Sounds like it could be a
timing issue
In the debugger code runs much slower than it will in a compiled application
because of all the things that have to go on to make debugging work
