Posts: 39 Anyone else noticed compile/build taking longer with
newer versions of REALbasic?

I was running 2007 R4 until a few days ago and it took about 30 seconds to have
the app running
in debug. It is a 10MB project. Now with 2009 R4 it always takes over three
minutes to have it running, which is quite annoying.

Posts: 36 I have noted longer compile times for programs run under
XP that make calls to a dll library. In addition, the times increase with each
compile made after the file is initially loaded.

Geoff reported that they have been working on finding a solution, but without
success.

Posts: 8 On Snow Leopard, compile time is really fast, less than 2
seconds. The same project when being compiled at work on a Windows XP machine
is very much slower. Maybe 20 seconds or more.

Posts: 57 I definitely noticed an increase in time to compile or
run in the debugger. Additionally, sometimes the debugger will just quit rather
than attach to the app being debugged. The app is running, but the debugger
doesn't notice. This usually happens if the build process took a long time or
the app being debugged took a while to launch.

Posts: 39 Hope they can find what is causing it.
My program has lot of DLL calls.
The first compile after launch of IDE is OK but after that it gets slower.

Mac OS X compile time is instead noticeably faster than with 2007r4.
