Does anyone have experience with getting RealBasic applications to allow vertical Japanese text to be typed into a styled EditField? We are trying to find a solution to handle this for both MS-Windows & Mac OS X. I know MS-Windows provides separate rotated fonts that allows vertical text to be typed left-to-right which can then be rotated to appear correctly. Unfortunately, Apple do not provide the same. I have been told that the Mac OpenType Japanese fonts have both rotated & non-rotated characters within them but there appears no way to access them within the EditField. If any Japanese RB users can share any knowledge on this subject we would be very grateful. Cheers, Kev.
