OATMEAL/CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

2 c. butter
2 c. sugar
2 c. brown sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour
5 c. oatmeal (measure oatmeal first and put small amounts in blender to blend
until it turns to powder)
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
2 (12 oz.) pkgs. chocolate chips
1 (8 oz.) Hershey bar, broken in pieces
3 c. nuts, any kind

Cream together butter, sugar and brown sugar. Add the eggs and vanilla. Mix 
together the flour, blended oatmeal, salt, baking powder and baking soda and
mix into the butter and egg mixture. Add the chips, Hershey bar and nuts.

Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in a 375 degree oven for 6 minutes. Make golf 
ball sized cookies and place 2 inches apart on cookie sheet.

Makes 112 cookies.
