Taylor Swift was a surprise guest at the red carpet premiere for the Zac Efron film, 17 Again, at the Entertainment Quarter in Sydney, Australia, on Wednesday (March 11). Both performers posed for photos and signed autographs for fans. Swift concluded her Australian tour with a concert at the Factory Theater in Sydney on Thursday (March 12). March 11.2009 5:30 PM EDT Singer-songwriters Ryan Adams and Mandy Moore were married on Tuesday (March 10) in Savannah, Ga., after quietly applying for a marriage license there. In the 1990s, Adams fronted the band Whiskeytown before embarking upon a successful solo career. In 2005, he formed another band, the Cardinals, but announced his departure from the band earlier this year. In addition, Adams will release a book of poetry, Infinity Blues, next month, followed by another book of poetry, Hello Sunshine, later in the year. Moore is also an actress and has appeared in the films License to Wed, A Walk to Remember, Saved and American Dreamz. Loretta Lynn Sings on Todd Snider's New Album Wed. March 11.2009 5:30 PM EDT Loretta Lynn is a featured guest on singer-songwriter Todd Snider's upcoming album, The Excitement Plan, scheduled for release on June 9 on Yep Roc. Lynn appears on a song called "Don't Tempt Me." The album was produced by Don Was. Snider also covers Robert Earl Keen's "Corpus Christi Bay." In addition to his spring tour dates, Snider will perform at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City on June 11 and the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Manchester, Tenn., on June 14. Trace Adkins Among First Performers Confirmed for CMA Music Festival Wed. March 11.2009 1:01 PM EDT Trace Adkins, Julianne Hough, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride and Reba McEntire are the first artists confirmed to perform at LP Field during the CMA Music Festival this summer. The festival will be held June 11-14 in downtown Nashville. In addition, all daily concerts at Riverfront Park will be free and open to the public, with extended set times for the performers. A second free stage will be located at the Public Square in front of the courthouse. This year the festival will also spotlight local talent by booking non-country artists who live in Nashville, such as the Gabe Dixon Band. In related news, the CMA also announced that ABC will air a three-hour special about the event. In previous years, the ABC specials were two hours long. Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles Loses Her Voice on European Tour Tue. March 10.2009 4:26 PM EDT Sugarland did not perform two concerts on their current European tour, due to Jennifer Nettles losing her voice. Instead, the band held a meet-and-greet at Naval Air Station Sigonella in Italy on Saturday (March 7) and rescheduled their Sunday show in Naples, Italy, for March 24. They are expected to perform Tuesday night (March 10) in Paris, with additional dates planned for Germany, the Netherlands, England, Ireland and Scotland. Their next U.S. concert is scheduled for April 10 in Duluth, Ga.
