Anna's Blackberry Crumb Coffeecake

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter softened
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
2 cups fresh or frozen blackberries
1/2 cup milk

Topping

1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
3 tablespoons butter or margarine

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Mix flour, salt and baking powder on wax paper.
Cream softened butter and sugar in a large mixing bowl until light and
fluffy. Beat in egg. Place blackberries  in a bowl. Dust with a little of
the  flour mixture.  Toss to coat. Add remaining flour  mixture alternately
with milk to creamed mixture. Then gently fold in the fruit.

For the topping, mix the flour, sugar and cinnamon. Cut in the butter until
crumbly. Grease a 8 inch square baking dish. Pour in batter. Sprinkle
topping over the batter. Bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown.
