Not sure what'll be happening with that Lady situation. I'd like to find out from the person who trained her if it ever happened when she was with him/her. She is a holdover from another string of dogs so don't know who actually trained her. When the time is right you will know if you will get another dog or not. First you must finish grieving for Sam. No dog will compare to him no matter how long you wait. You will know when the time is right. Thinking about you.
