OLD-FASHIONED SOUTHERN POUND CAKE 1 (2 sticks) c. Butter 3 c. Sugar 6 eggs 8 oz. Whipping cream 1 tsp. Vanilla 3 c. Flour In large bowl beat butter. Gradually add sugar and Beat with mixer 10 minutes (this is essential). Add eggs one At a timeand beat after each egg. In a small bowl whip Cream and add to mixture. Add vanilla. With spoon add flour mix wel lbut do not beat. Grease tube or Bundt pan and pour Cake mixture. Place in 325 degrees oven not preheated. Bake for 1 1/2 hoursturn upside down after baking onto plate.
