Welcome Robert Michael Carter, Thank you for your interest. We need help of volunteers with user experience at various corners. We need volunteers for updating Wiki, writing guides and documentation. Or we need help at testing Bug reports. And as a last discipline I think your experience could be of use is the QA (quality Assurance) team, which tests a release for regressions.
