Very recently, my RedHat 5.0 system started pausing for a period of time after I type in my userid and password. It pauses right after displaying the last login, and right before giving me a shell prompt. Has anyone else seen this? If I telnet to the box, it gives the message about the last time I logged in, but never gives a prompt. -- Mark A.
