The way I did it to get to a laptop with no CD was to get 'Doze on it,
went to Windows95.com (c)(tm) and got a better hyperterminal (one that
can answer - only needed on one machine) and attached them via phone
line. Then I sent all the trans.tbl files (dos mangles the filenames
otherwise), c:/dosutils and c:RedHat/RPMS from a CD on the other box,
set it all up on a hard drive partition (make sure the directory
structure in intact) and installed from there.

A lotta work but, it runs and it installed perfectly.

I since got a dirt cheap scsi cd, a couple of drives and an Iomega
pcmcia scsi card which lets it all work together (though it's only
supposed to work with the ZIP). That allowed me to upgrade to 5.0
without having to go through the above once again.
