At least one person misunderstood the TOPAS-Academic message; it's not free I'm afraid. The pricing is the same as for universities. So I will try again: Bruker-AXS has allowed the purchase of TOPAS-Academic (http://www.topas-academic.net/) by Synchrotron and neutron research centers for academic research work. Work done for clients or by clients of the institution requires the purchase of TOPAS.
