ffmpeg coordination effort!

Hey friends,

After my talk at Fosdem yesterday, I was approached by a guy from the ffmpeg 
team (and I forgot to ask for his name), and he asked me about our willingness 
to cooperate in syncing source code changes between our projects. Changes 
we've done to codecs from them, and changes they've done to source codes we 
use.

I said we'd certainly be interested in discussing this to improve the current 
situation. Since I'm not personally a codec guy I'm not really the right 
person to speak about these things so I'm basically just trying to help this 
happen rather to actually do the work! ;-)

Any particular ideas on how to proceed? I figure one way is to setup a meeting 
time a couple of days ahead in time and gather on IRC together with the 
suitable representatives from the ffmpeg team and work things out online. Any 
other ideas or suggestions?
