I had an idea that I might be able to take advantage of the SCSI-2 capabilities of the Rocket Stage II and of the 1-gig internal hard disk in my IIci... (seeing as the IIci can't take advantage of it... I don't think anyway). So I bought an adapter for the internal SCSI connection on the Rocket (68-pin to 50-pin) on eBay for a few quid... now I just have to find an internal SCSI ribbon cable (50-pin to 50-pin) that is long enough to connect the internal HD to the Rocket, via the adapter. Or maybe the adapter goes onto the hard-disk end of the cable, in which case I would need a 68-pin to 68-pin cable. I don't have the adapter easily accessible at the moment to look at.
But before I do it, and probably damage/explode something.... has anyone done this before, and is it as easy as that? (I realize I would have to boot the IIci off an external hard disk...I have one.) Or do I need a daughtercard or some other gizmo...? Or does the IIci use SCSI-2 on the internal bus anyway?? Mike -- Rocketeer is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
