Seems like a good idea, but as you say there might not be an awful lot of traffic on it. Guillaume's suggestion of inclusion in KDE would be good, but in the meantime what might be better than a list would be a page on the website for translators, where the latest .pot file could be downloaded, and info about due dates etc posted. Really nice would be something like Scribus (http://bugs.scribus.net/trans/) and Tuxpaint (http://www.newbreedsoftware.com/tuxpaint/help/po/) are now doing - a set of bar-charts showing how complete a translation is.
