Me too. The immediate difference is lost now that the countdown affects both types of recording, and I'm also forgetting I have to manually click on a MIDI track to arm it. I'm having the opposite problem, losing MIDI while recording on an audio track. Color coding does seem like a good idea. Use whatever color I didn't use in my book. :) Hrm. No, the book will have to change slightly, but it's a small edit. Just remove the word "red" and it's probably enough. "A segment will emerge...." So yes, I think this is OK to sneak in. My vote would be to make the audio preview blue. For that matter, it might not be a bad idea at all to make audio segments come up using a non-default color by default. Such as... Blue. It would make them distinctive if segment previews aren't on. (Blue! May I suggest #b6d5ff as a starting point...) > Obviously the long-term answer would be to update the previews as we > go, but that's even more of a feature and I'm suggesting this for > pre-1.0. Updating previews as you go would be nifty, but I'd put it waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay down on the list. Like for 2.0 maybe. :) -- Michael McIntyre ---- Silvan <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Linux fanatic, and certified Geek; registered Linux user #243621 http://www.geocities.com/Paris/Rue/5407/ http://rosegarden.sourceforge.net/tutorial/ ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: IT Product Guide on ITManagersJournal Use IT products in your business?
