Hello,
I've been trying out the new version 10.04rc a little this weekend
again. Excellent Job. It is really nice and improved and seems
stable. A few minor problems noted...

-I get one repeatable crash (segmentation fault) while messing around
with trying to import or merge a hydrogen file. I think this is on
files created with hydrogen version 9.4. The hydrogen 9.3 files do
not cause the crash. I played around with 9.4+ for awhile, but have
gone back to the ubuntu packaged version of 9.3 so I can't open them
in 9.3 either. I really have never used this feature, but was curious
what it would do.

-One lockup until cancelled - When recording audio, I press stop when
finished, it does it's processing and stops usually around 98 or 99%
with a popup saying"Generating audio preview...". The preview was
generated, but I must click cancel to do anything else.

-Why is the "Instrument" Playback Parameter used instead of "Channel"?
I use a few hardware synths so just curious.

I'm going to submit a few new instrument definitions sometime next month.

Also, in case anyone is interested. The alpha development version of
Ubuntu 10.04 is great - this is going to be a good release for audio.
This new system with the stock kernel gives me
drastically/significantly better latency performance than I've ever
seen on this machine before (except maybe 64studio that I tried a few
years ago). I've even compiled rt kernels in the past that weren't as
good as this. I don't know how this works, but it runs something
called rtkit-daemon and audio stuff is automatically realtime.

Thanks again for this great program. Geoff
