Hi Yves, Michael,

Apologies from me for going quiet on all this, real life getting in the way and
all that <insert lame excuse for inactivity here>.

I'll try to have a look at where things are outside of the repeating segments
scenario - i.e. making linked copies via cryptic key-mouse ops. From vague
memory you do Ctrl+Alt+left-click-drag to link-copy a segment, and that's about
where it is. I should check whether it serialises in and out ok on that branch
too.

There is no menu item as yet for doing a "paste as links", but there are deep
architectual reasons why this isn't easy, so that will have to wait for "phase
2".

There could do with being an "unlink" function for a linked segment.

There are one or two bugs I seem to recall - resizing a linked segment from the
left is liable to go squiffy, and doing any kind of cut/copy/paste range type
functions on a linked segment basically explodes in your face. Normal segment
cut/copy/paste (i.e. not the range stuff) I think is solid.

Colour coordinating linked-segment groups is something which hasn't been looked
at yet as far as I'm aware. Given my previous disastrous efforts at meddling
with the UI, I'll have to have a strong cup of coffee and a deep panic before
tackling that one to come up with something hopefully non-shit.

Please go ahead with the merge though - I'll let you know if there's anything I
have to commit so I don't pollute anyones efforts to merge stuff.

Ian.
