Yves just committed a big French update, and I took several hours to go
through the Spanish and English (British vs. American).

There were a number of problems in source texts that I just corrected in the
English translations, so I could leave the source alone.

It looks like Yves has wrapped up all he's going to get done before release,
and everybody else seems to be pretty inactive right at the moment.

I slipped in here with a last-minute feature, but now that I've spent quite a
few hours working on getting my translations complete, I'm ready to shift into
release mode, and avoid making changes to the code that aren't absolutely
necessary.

I don't think there's a lot of point in trying to hold things up to let the
other translators complete their updates, and I don't think there's a lot of
point in trying to have some kind of formal pre-release testing regimen with a
beta and a release candidate or three. Our response to all of these usual
rituals is never very good, and I don't really feel like going through the
motions.

In fact, I think I'll just go roll a tarball, play with it, and if I'm
satisfied I might kick the thing out the door this very day, with no further
ado.
