Yet another hapless developer accidentally knocks over the delicate house of 
cards that is Rosegarden.  Fun.

I'm not familiar with it at all, but I can't imagine we're talking about some 
long, huge, pregnant delay here.  It probably wouldn't be particularly 
noticeable, would it?  I think it sounds like a viable approach, but again, 
have no familiarity with any of that magic black box stuff at all.

If it's not some massive pain to try it, that's what I'd recommend.  See what 
happens.  It will probably work, unless I'm overlooking something, which is 
quite possible.
